How did you fit the oil filter.

Did you locate the nipple in the hole at the bottom and then fit the top. If you havent its possible that the filter is in the wrong postion and has been crushed.

Hi I put the filter in first with the nipple at about 7oclock, where it felt in place. Then tightened the casing over it.

Does this sound right to you?

Let’s say it’s crushed when I open it, what should I do please? Suck out the broken plastic?

Could be coincidental but Id have the filter out to see before driving again, change the filter and inspect for signs of oil starvation and cross everything and touch as much wood as possible!

maybe you just dripped some oil on the aux belt or your alternator is on the way out!

There won’t be broken plastic
It just squashes.

I took the oil filter back out and it was definitely installed good. And inside seemed to be evenly filtering oil and no issues.

Fit again and still the squeak persists.

Sprayed contact cleaner on the fan belt I think it’s called?

Diagnosed with my ap2000 Autel tool here’s a few pics if it gives anything away?

Have you checked the top intercooler hose for a split - that can make a similar noise when the air is passing through

There was no problem 1 hour prior been fine just happened when oil was done

It sounds like a rotating squeak and increases with revs

Does sound like a bearing but difficult to assess - is it from the front of the engine - like near the tensioner or water pump or further back?

I can’t tell where it’s coming from other than engine bay sorry.

Was fine a hour before, would a bearing just go like that?

Hi it wouldn’t be anything to do with not putting the skid plate back on?

Wondering if the bolts were also holding something else maybe?

I also bled the coolant hose in the engine bay if this could have caused it!

As my heating won’t work

Clear the codes and see what returns.
