Stratstone taking over even more of the world
Unfortunately Stratstone have also taken over Newcastle and Durham. Latest quote for 36K service on my Defender is £587 at Stratstone compared with £315 from Kentdale. Mind you, as the previous Rossleigh dealer at durham couldn't fit a new gearbox properly (needed a further 2 visits to fix it
), it may be no bad thing....
Looks like my D3 will be heading towards the Lake District, which is where the best dealers seem to live.
They've taken over the Stockton branch of Rossleigh too! You could always try Les Potts 4 x 4 in Sunderland for your service (http://www.lespotts.co.uk/). Got mine done there for around £230 last September. Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills

Went in to Stratstone Newcastle the other day, and all the service people are wearing smart suits and ties.
Looks like the cost of services is going up.
I may have to have a day out at the Lakes, the next time it's due a service.Arctic Frost Discovery 3 TDV6 SE, Active Rear Diff, Adaptive Head Lights, Tow Pack, Ebony Leather, Roof Rails, Mantec Guard. Tasmod Stainless Sill plates. Grabber AT's. Home made mud flaps. Side Steps back on until the next time.
