Suspension with tailgate open. |
|
As Above the suspension goes up and down with tailgate open. Suprised that it would as it doesn't with any other door open.

Am I missing something here - the suspension does what exactly with the tailgate open? 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Yep, I can definitely say that the suspension moves with the top tailgate open - a couple of times now the car has self levelled and tried to piledrive me into my driveway. Still, my neighbours had a laugh. If I wasn't such a pillow smuggler the car wouldn't have to adjust so much when I got out, so it's all my own fault really.
On a few occasions the car has also attempted to self level with one of the rear doors open too, although I'm pretty sure it only dropped the side opposite to where the door was open; hasn't ended up looking very level after this, though it's sorted when the final door closes. Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

not in czech; you can get a deductable vat for cars that are declared as "light delivery vehicles". The car must fulfill some conditions concerning weight capacity AND have a grid between loading space and seating space. A seven seater NEVER fulfills the first condition.
The more expensive the car is, the bigger the benefit and the more it appeals to sacrifies the two seats and to wear a dog cage in your car....
That is why czech seven seaters, like mine, are rare in czech.

The suspension should not be affected by the tailgate. Would be a bit silly having 'locked' suspension when carrying a long load sticking out the back for example!

I can confirm that the car does 'self-level' whilst unloading the back of the car.
Scared the crap out of me the first time it did it! Back in the game!
