That is not the case here in Australia as we can get the 'S' model with air suspension...
Oh, and I don't know if other countries have the same problem but several times my D3 has had to return to the dealer straight after servicing and the obligatory connection to software upgrades with an error message about suspension fault. Service head believes it must be related to the fact that the software upgrades always assume the car does not have air suspension because it is an 'S' model.
And today both front height sensors were replaced at my selling dealer's service centre after a suspension fault message began appearing whilst we were 1620 kilometres from home. The closest service centre at the time (Canberra) simply cleared the fault and reset it (whatever that may mean) and it reappeared almost within shouting distance but we carried on as the fault had not affected the ride height or other functions in any way.LeighW

* first ran a bearing (design failure in original engine)
* second had a failure of the water outlet on top of the engine (pls check yours)

In the Netherlands you can order an HSE as a five seater, which would have air suspensionTDV6 HSE Stornaway Grey, black interior
