Swapped SIM for new 5G Sim and now calls won’t connect |
|
My company recently asked us to swap SIM’s to a 5G compatible SIM. My phone works perfectly well after this. Except when i try to use it in the car (2016MY)
Calls just don’t connect. Long silent pause and then a single tone as it stops trying. I am pretty sure I’m not receiving calls either.
As I say, phone works fine outside of car, and worked fine in the car before the SIM swap. Wondering if the D4 has an issue with 5G compatibility? Anyone had this issue before?
Appreciate any input as always. Thanks Corris Grey SDV6 D4 2015 HSE

Being uncontactable whilst driving sounds like heaven. I'd keep quiet.

I'm on 5G SIM with EE and the phone connects ok in my Disco.
Try deleting the phone from the info centre, turn the phone off then back on and then reconnect via Bluetooth to the Disco. Worth a try.

Surely it's the pone that connects (via Bluetooth), not the SIM.
I agree with Froogle-Yorkshiremans suggestion.
