Some t--t

Has dented my door in the car park Big Cry Evil or Very Mad Mad Sad I'm f-in fumin as I parked out of the way on the edge of the car park and the tosser must have parked too close, it bloody winds me up, every car I've owned has had car park damage, how do I stop it, I choose my spaces carefully with only one space next to me and leave loads of space but the tossers seem to bloody follow me Crying or Very sad so I'm thinking of some rock sliders or steps to try and stop this in the future, any ideas appreciated Wink

Yes, rock sliders or steps, and then park in off road mode. This puts them at a height that normals doors will hit. That's what I do. Thumbs Up

Cheers

However...

the doors on a Disco can be paintless dent removed with great ease

..DentDevils

the local guy to me is brilliant & isn't costly
all the dealers around here use him,

there are more providers...look around - ask around (especially the dealers)
 BREXIT - done properly.

Disco 3 doors are I'm told relatively

are I'm told relatively easy to de dent
as the panel is plain & the access for the spooning tools is good...
I've had loads removed.....
also did one nasty on my XK.....

I have also recently found good guy with smart paint repairs here (very honest one...who doesn't muck about)
 BREXIT - done properly.

Thanks guys, so steps or sliders and which ones so many to choose from, I don't mind paying for quality but don't want to pay steeler prices as the seem to sting a bit, Wink

Most dealers pull the independents in..then charge you the difference

My advice would be to go to a garage in your area that sells quality cars in your area and ask who they use for paintless dent removal. That way you won't get some herbert butchering your pride and joy.
I am giving you good advice (Check out my site name) been at it for 16 years in Manchester.
Other companys may be available, terms and conditions apply.....LOL Rolling with laughter

Mine was 3 days old when some idiot left a nice big paint mark down the drivers side rear door Twisted Evil

It must have been a van as she was left in normal height mode and I have side steps on. Luckily no dint but a nice white mark about 10 inches long, hopefully it will t-cut out when I get chance to wash her which might be soon as she is 6 months old now Whistle

Off Topic That is what I miss out the D3, she was washed at least once a month, not by me by the dealer when she was in for repairs
d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
D3 with the following
Alive Tuning EGR blanking kit
Alive Tuning Re-map
Alive Atrics console
Samco intercooler hoses (from Alive Tuning)
Alive Tuning De-Cat pipe, lovely tone!
Retrofit OEM Hybrid TV tuner

I sat in the car whilst HWMBO went into Aldi (smallest car park spaces on the planet) in 40 minutes 3 different people hit my D3 with their doors Shocked , each one was obese and came out abuse when I told them it was criminal damage and I would be taking proceedings against them.
I now have side rubbing strips and side steps Thumbs Up I have had the same thing happen since and the T Censored T who did it pointed to the rubbing strips and said "that's what they are for isn't it?" The owners of the car parks should be made responsible after all it is them who do not make the spaces large enough.

It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Don't park at empty spaces, inviting others to park next to you. Park next to other vehicles, leaving them room to get in their cars. People take more care when pulling a door open, to get in, than they do pushing a door open to get out. Also park next to 'quality' cars, they don't want to risk damage to their own vehicle.

I used to have Nerf bars on my 110CSW.. and raised suspension etc... no one ever parked next to me.. so Nerf bar and raising the suspension might assist them in denting their own door!

Also have a look out for cars that list to the Offside... Driven by Salad Dodgers and Pie Eaters...

1 International Harvester SOLD
7 x D3 all SOLD
2 x D4 both SOLD

I always park next to a quality car if I can or a car with lots of stuff on the passenger seat - no one sat in it

Park in 2 spaces and get 2 tickets not a problem a lot cheaper in long run than the repairs Whistle

ps leave a note in window also ,bringing it to anyones attention you have paid for 2 spaces save the odd rant you mite get for being inconsiderate in your parking taking up 2 spaces Thumbs Up
