What are you doing in a public car park? Send the missus to the shops
Side steps, off road height and a disinterest in scratches helps.

Ah this takes me back to last summer..
On a trip to a local retail park, a damp day with swmbo and mother in the D3. My task, to find a parking space while one visited boots and the other returned some clothing to M&S. Locating a space I pulled in without any drama or fuss and proceeded to relax, roll a fag and people watch while awaiting the return of my passengers. It was at that point a small hatchback pulled up in the now vacant space beside me. I couldn't at first see the driver, but given the unorthodox parking angle just assumed a female.
Sure enough, the drivers door was flung open against my side step with a noticeable thud and a rather large woman started the operation of extracting her plus sized form her seated position. Some time later, mission accomplished so to speak she made it to an upright stance, face to face with me. My window unrolled i started to point out her careless act without my usual politeness. I can only assume she hadn't noticed me sitting there given my darkened glass.
Swmbo and mother are not known for their efficient speed around clothing outlets so I was still sitting in my comfortable seat when jabba the hut returned to her car. She was now very aware of my presence and so started upon what turned out to be a very funny insertion back into her car. A gentleman at this point may have reversed back a little to allow her easier access but I was in no mood for such an act of candour.
Having tried the right foot forward, head first and left foot shuffle, much to my amusement shamoo opted to ooze in with the first slide, all the while holding her door off mine. Many minutes passed and after huffing and puffing normally reserved for child birth, what seemed impossible became possible. My only regret was I didn't film this achievement as it would surely have netted me £200 from a popular Saturday evening tv video show.
So +1 for side steps. And although I don't have actual footage of the event I believe the octopus in this short clip highlights the accomplishment of that large Lass on that damp day in Hayle.
Narpy Grill, tinted windows, Smooth leather wheel (TLO Group buy), ACM fitted (thanks TLO), Rear door loom and Row 2 & 3 audio switch upgrade, RRS 20" wheel change, 285 Cooper LTZ's Sat Nav Mod (until I get a Faultmate upgrade), Front & Rear lamp guards. 4x4 screen now switched on - Woody32, Follow me home reverse lights - woody32, Auto release EPB - Woody32. Off Road Navigation - Woody32. Remap + EGR's switched off. Full chassis clean and Waxoyl.
