My Landcruser 76 wagon has been delivered not as comfortable as the Disco but love the power and sound of the V8
The mods are well underway, Long range tank ,diff locks, dual batt, bull bar, winch, uhf, hf radio and lots of other stuff , should be all ready for trip to the centre in three weeks time, cant wait

Hi Norto,
I really felt for your problems with the D3. I wouldn't wish them on anyone - even you.
Best of luck with the Challenger,
PeterThe Bearded Dragon
Best wishes with the Challenger Norto! And to you too Rob with the LC!
SN, there's nothing unpleasant about the Cayenne! The finish is excellent. And when it comes to overtaking road trains 8) 8)Have a nice day!

Just an update, the new 76 LC wagon has been great, nearly finished the mods just the 3" exaust and the 2" lift kit to go. So easy to work on and mod. Just got a Scan Gague , awsome bit of kit, pulled up the fault code scan and nothing loged unlike my old D3 which usually had a full page worth, One great thing is with no problems I have more time to play with it, the down side of it is I seem to spend a lot on mods, the list is now extencive.
Had a great trip to the Centre not long after the car arived and it was great on and off road but when I see a D3 it makes me feel sad that mine was so much trouble oh well.
On a very good note I am off back to the Filnders and the Centre at the end of this month, two trips in one year, I must be in SWMBOs good books, long may it last
Cheers

Chris,
Dident see you on the track, Back home now, By the way how did you find the Oonadatta track , it had just been graded when we came home, unreal just like a highway 110 km/hr all the way except the creek crossings that creep up on you real quick.
Cheers

Peter,
Dont know about the Tanami, but in north SA there was some rain a fiew weeks ago which was heavier to the north and just a small amount of rain makes most of these roads and tracks very greasy.
You should have a look at the web site of the Dalhousey Road house it has a good road report but not Tanami road but it will be indecative.
Hope the new wagon is going well, I am very pleased with mine, although it is not a D3 it suits what I do and it is awsome off road,
Cheers
Rob
PS Sounds like a trip is being planed I am not long back from my second trip to the centre this winter, Dont know how SHMBO let me go twice MY05 TDV6 SE, dirt colour, Now cremated !!!!!!!

Pete,
Big Kev has been up that way recently. I know he could not do the GRR or Gregory Np as roads were closed, think from memory he said the Tanami was graded and an easy run. Having said that he was in a D3 Take the road less traveled. Looks like Im off too
SWMBO has been promoted and posted to Singapore and while it could be for 12 months it's looking longer.
So have to decide whether to sell the D3 or drive it up to Darwin and let my daughter (she who drives the Getz at 140K per Hour) look after it.
Problem is its is going soooo well and just purchased 3 year warranty. But if I sell now maybe in 12 months (or 2 years) I could get a 3 year old D4 and all the extra gear will still fit (mostly)
