Phono Jack connector for Sat Nav???
When replacing the ashtray today, and removing the CD head unit from the dash I noticed what looks like a phono jack together with a square 4 pin white plastic socket.
Could anyone tell me what this could be for, it is just resting on top of the cd unit behind the dash cover.
Could someone have installed this earlier for something else??
Thanks very much
Nick

These are the cables I found yesterday on top of the head unit. What could they be used for?
It looks like leftovers from an aftermarket in car phone kit, the Nokia kits had those connectors?Altox GSM FBH controller thread

With Beanie there.think the 3.5mm plug goes off to an extension speaker somewhere, and the plug went in to the brain of the kit.MY24 Defender 90 X-Dynamic HSE

I'd encourage removal of all unused aftermarket looms as latent wiring can cause issues down the line and confuse the heck out of anyone doing fault-finding. So I am glad you found it!

+1for a old aftermarket Nokia Bluetooth loom, looks like the mic plug, earth power and mute.
I've probably an old unit here somewhere if you wanted to fire it back up. Narpy Grill, tinted windows, Smooth leather wheel (TLO Group buy), ACM fitted (thanks TLO), Rear door loom and Row 2 & 3 audio switch upgrade, RRS 20" wheel change, 285 Cooper LTZ's Sat Nav Mod (until I get a Faultmate upgrade), Front & Rear lamp guards. 4x4 screen now switched on - Woody32, Follow me home reverse lights - woody32, Auto release EPB - Woody32. Off Road Navigation - Woody32. Remap + EGR's switched off. Full chassis clean and Waxoyl.

Removal of Nokia cables
I have had to pull out the CD unit as suddenly yesterday it decided not to insert discs never had a problem anytime.
Whilst out I decided to remove the Nokia phone cables which were connected with a bridge into the back of the head unit.
I put some tape to cover the soldered connection but now not working at all the entire unit.
