Noosa 4X4'ing

Howdy

I'm thinking of Christening the new Disco offroad in a couple of weeks, the wife has requested a short break from the childminding duties (our first weekend without the baby in 7 months) so I have dutifully booked the Sheraton at Noosa for her to get some R&R but I cant resist getting the Disco dirty whilst I'm up there, anyone know any good 4X4'ing to do a short distance from Hastings St?

Cheers

M.

G'Day M,
'Bout 4 years ago I got My 4x4, then a Nissan Patrol, dirty on tracks around Forrest Glen. (around 10 min drive from what was The Big Pineapple).
Even a winery there, Moonshine, to slake your thirst after a hard days 4x4ing.

Did you think I would leave you crying,
When there's room in my D3 for 7,
Climb in here Joe we'll soon be flying,
I can go just as fast with 7.

Why not take a run up Teewah Beach? Cross the river by ferry at Tewantin and then down onto the beach for a lovely drive up towards the old cherry venture site. From there you can go through to Lake freshwater and then onto the tarmac. Now you can drive back down the Cooloola Way (all dirt) with a side trip at the end into Harry's Hut camping area. Nice drive... a little rough but I had my Tucson in there.

Very nice.

Just watch the tides... 2 hours either side of low tide and you're sweet. You will need to lower your tyres to around 18 - 20 for the sand track into Lake Freshwater.

Happy Motoring

Cheers
