That wouldn't make me sell it.
Quite the opposite in fact!
Hope you get something nice. (i.e. Don't buy a Prius). Back in the game!

I went away had a 535d BMW wow fast , great , nothing against it at all, never broke down , never in to dealer, really cheap servicing, 35mpg , 272bhp , no antis but 8 months later , new disco 3 that says it all really. Good luck with whatever you choose maybe you will be back sooner than you think

£1 a mile depreciation - struth. We traded in our D3 for a new one and it worked out at less than 25p a mile depreciation ...... Mind you we had done 45,000 and secured a big discount off the new vehicle (and I am rubbish at sums). Disco 4 TDV6HSE
Defender 200TDi CSW

If you calculate the depreciation for the very first mile, you even get a "better" figure.

4) Multiple little things going wrong with the vehicle.
These two would bother me if bad enough for sure.
Couldn't care less what others attitudes are.
Don't care about depreciation either, only how much I enjoy driving it
Good luck to you in finding something that suits you better though & sorry you had bad luck with it. I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Mine had 11 miles on the clock when it came from the dealer. Maybe I should have stung them for the £500 per mile depreciation

Shmoogle on RRS has just had the rear shock go on a 535d and it seem BMW are reluctant to replace the knackered alloy it caused - seems not everything is as good as they say in BMW land. Very different cars, the BMW isn't very fast off road either DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
DS3 TDV6 HSE- Silver with Alpaca (new one) Gone
D4 HSE Lux - Montalcino Red Gone

Has something happened that we don't know about? ( apart from the impending road tax doom,) as there seem to be rather a lot of second hand D3's for sale, and a fair few people on here baling out, or thinking about it. Please tell me I haven't made a poor choice of vehicle.......

Mine didnt, but then maybe Im young enough to enjoy a firm ride For driving fast it is awesome, but the point I was trying to make was no matter how good it was I still went back to Disco 3 with all its niggles and crap dealers (IMHExperience).

Thanks Gareth, I hope mine gets through as many reasonably trouble free miles as yours has. I'm planning on keeping it for a good while yet.

Cymers I dare say it is a fast well handling car but it is pointless comparison to a D3, just in the same way it is pointless to compare the BMW's off road prowess. If your dealer isn't good and not sorting problems then change them. I sure as hell wouldn't put up with crap service if I've paid all that for a car DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
DS3 TDV6 HSE- Silver with Alpaca (new one) Gone
D4 HSE Lux - Montalcino Red Gone
