My mate has a sheep trailer with LED lights, Lights work perfectly with his 2014 D4 Commercial but flicker on his 2005 D3 so you can guess which one he uses! 
I run D3 and D4 and took the easy option of speccing filament bulbs on my Ifor Williams when I bought a replacement a couple of years ago. Stu
