Tow bar queries
Looking at buying at the moment and have some questions about the D3. Does the car come with fixings and plugs etc all ready for a tow bar? If so, is that for detachable only? How much will one set me back? I have seen some beefy A frame type ones which are fixed differently so I assume there is a difference between weight limits? Thanks for your help.

Yes the D3 has a socket for a towbar, sometimes hasa red plug in it.
The electrics are not fitted unless a previous owner has installed them.
A plug in detachable towbar is from about £100 on eBay up to about £400 from LR
The one with the stabiliser arms is easy to fit, just the arms and a couple of bolts underneath that are extra to the detachable one but still fits in the same coupling.
Not 100% but would safely assume the fixed towbar would be safer if you do quite a bit of towing.
Hope this makes sense and helps
I got mine from Norbrook trailers.co.uk

You can buy a Witter or Tow Trust fixed tow bar for around £150. They're the same spec as a genuine LR one EG 3.5 ton towing limit and 150kg nose weight.
Buy genuine electrics if you can, they're easy to fit and are made properly, they just plug into already fitted sockets behind the left hand panel in the boot and come complete with a fuse box and fuses so no soldering required. The sockets that the trailer plugs into just screw onto the rear cross member so no bracket needed.
The removable and fixed tow bars both have the same towing capabilities but if you tow frequently and tow heavy trailers go for the fixed tow bar as there seems to be a few problems with the removable one falling out.
If you do go for a removable tow bar, don't leave it in for any length of time, they seize in and do get stolen. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!
