Air Bag light

Hello Disco 3 lovers!,

A quick question...I think i may get many different answers for this but hopefully one shining beacon will shine through with a answer that may help me? When i initiate the car i.e. put the key to position 2, it then runs through the 'system check' whilst doing this the air bag light flashes then stays on. I drove the car home from work yestrday and all was ok. Then started to come to work tonight and it did it....? Does anyone have any ideas or will it bebest to go and have a scan for faults? All help well appreciated as always!! Very Happy

Regards

Ryan

A lot of systems can trigger the light so you need a code reader to know which one it is, but the SRS connections under the driver's seat are a common cause, so give those a wiggle first.

It could be the clock spring or moving the seat has pulled the wire/connector under the drivers seat. Or the joint in the wiring under the passenger side trim that runs between the seat and door, the one that gets scratched when the kids get in and covers the wiring, sorry cannot for the life of me remember what it's called. Hi,

I have had a wiggle with mentioned connectors. Not really too successful as i now have the light on to say a person is sat in the drivers seat when your not. However, it does go out when the seat belt is plugged in. I can see a few quid leaving ones pocket to sort this out now. The joys of LR ownership..... Big Cry

Hang on - not too successful??

Did this fix the airbag light or not?

As for the seatbelt not plugged in light that goes out when you plug-in the seatbelt - you are kidding me right?

Sorry if I sound confused, but in truth I am!

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your responses. I have had the air bag light issue sorted. Just needed clearing via fault diagnostics. As for the seat belt light......i mean that when you have the ignition turned on and you are stood outside of the car the light is on to say that the seat sensor is detecting someone being sat in the seat. I will have the seat base off in the week or so to look into this issue.

Regards

Ryan
