I don't understand why one can see the new 2014MY car on discovery.landrover.com and configure it whereas the uk LR site still shows the pre-facelift D4. Am I missing something?

Unless Land Rover are now offering us in the UK the V6 Supercharged 3.0 Litre Petrol Engine that is not for UK models Sad Cheers Ian

Correct. Overseas market clearly more lucrative for JLR - overseas website updated more quickly than UK and cars delivered to customers there (e.g. Germany etc) before UK.

On another topic, anyone have thoughts on the merits of the upgraded stereo on a MY2014 as against the 'standard'? I am toying with adding it to my list but wondered if anyone had made any comparisons yet. From my past experience with D3 and D4 HSEs the standard stereo is already excellent so I think the upgrade may be another example of the law of diminishing returns.

No one said that - I'd go where the money is if I were setting marketing and sales strategy, which is what appears to have happened
