Cushions, home made or otherwise, would be handy for tired passengers who will find the limo like ride from the seamless auto. box conducive to rest/sleep.
Imo, manual for sporty handling & fast cars, auto. for low rpm, torquey engined, heavy & relatively slow 4X4's.

If as the Greens and Ken Livingston would have us believe, the UK is indeed drowning in humongous traffic james the length and breadth of the country, then the Auto box will become the ONLY sane choice in order to avoid serious and permanent RSI in the left leg... Laughing
