How many miles have you done? Service intervals are 16,000 miles or 12 months.

In the handbook it says some models are fitted with a service indicator ???
ideally I don't want it serviced yet tbh but now im confused lol.... what is a rough cost for the first one ~?
cheers for any help...

My first service was £266 that is including parts and VAT, that was at Team Valley Land Rover, an official Land Rover service centre but has the advantage of not having a flash showroom to support Cheers Ian

it may depend on when it was built or had predelivery inspection carried out, the timer must start at some point, not neccessarily the day you take delivery.
Marsky, maybe try Parks in Ayr, they tend to be a bit cheaper, or Mikey if you are out of warranty Joined the BMWX5 45e group

lookers Colchester 1st service quoted £527.00 to my wife !!!!
lindacre Ipswich (a service centre) quoted £375.00
lookers Colchester have reduced to £391.00 in a phone call from me.
Not sure about a service centre but is it worth it over the supplying dealer ??
any advice mucho appreciated...
cheers

Not sure whether the service centre would offer a courtesy car or not.
Otherwise, there shouldn't be any problems using them - my services have not been with the supplying dealer.
But why not re-try the supplying dealer - tell them you bought it from them and you are being quoted £375 elsewhere and would they price match? I suspect they will (I've had big discounts when I've pushed for them).

I have no problem using a service centre, they are just like a main dealer but without the sales dept ect attached, IE they are approved by Land Rover to carry out service work and warranty work if needed. Team Valley Land Rover offer you a free courtesy car but it is not a Land Rover, they have a fleet of Citroen C1's and the like. That may bother some people but I'd rather save the money than pay either a £100 or whatever extra just to get a Land Rover courtesy car Cheers Ian

I had 1st service on my MY12 XS last year carried out by LR Service Centre and found them to be excellent. Mechanic even popped out when he had finished to have a chat. I would definitely use them again both for the customer service and cost which was the lowest of a number of quotes I got.
Re a loan vehicle - they did the service while I waited, about 1 1/2 hours, got coffee/wifi/papers/magazines to keep me occupied. In my opinion getting a loan vehicle can be a hassle in terms of insurance and/or having to put fuel in. So worth asking if they do service by appointment.
