will d2 wheels fit a d4.
was thinking of getting chuncy tyres for d2 with the hope they would also fit the d4 for occasional use
any ideas please....think it could be a no no on rating alone 111

Worth explaining why.
Smaller wheels won't fit over the brake calipers etc.

I doubt the D2 wheels will fit over D4 front brakes , also hub diameter is different.

Stud pattern for both is 5x120.
However, the brakes on a D4 are much bigger than that of a D2, and there is not enough space inside the wheel from a D2

its worse than that, the hub hole in the middle of a D2 wheel is smaller than the D3/D4/RRS so they wont fit onto the hub.

I have the v8 disco 3 which I believe have the bigger discs. I fitted my 18" d2 wheels on my d3.
I had to bore the centers out from 71.1 to 72.6 and they fit a treat & look good too. Oh and you will have to get your self a set of disco 2 wheel nuts because the heads of the disco 3 nuts are too small to hold the alloys in place.

D4 brakes are larger than D3 V8 brakes (unless you have the 2.7 D4) My D3 Build Thread

Hi,
it may be easier and simpler to get a set of d3/d4/rrs wheels (weight rating on rrs wheels may not be high enough ) and fit some A/T tyres
then get a set of shims and wheel nuts to fit to the D2
there is a picture in my for sale add of my D2 with rrs wheels and winter tyres fitted
