Headlights

I had seen a thread on "another" forum about misalligned UK headlights & the suggestion was that if the nearside light on dip was shinning higher than the off-side (driver side) when pointed against a flat wall, the it meant they were misalligned. Mine are out like that but I had assumed that this was intentional to give additional illumination of the verge while not shinning the driver sie towards oncoming traffic so much. Anyone got any knowledge of this, or indeed are other member's vehicles also alligned like this?

My left side (passenger) beam is a little higher than the other. I also assumed this was intentional.

I've never been flashed by other drivers so guess its not a problem.
