New 14MY Disco4 XS Corris

Replacement for my 2010 D4 XS Stornoway Grey

Collected yesterday, 14MY D4 XS Corris Grey Ebony leather interior, just a few extras, not into bells n whistles so happy with just Xenon lights, f & r mudflaps, 19" 7-split spoke alloys and twin electrics - carry over my detachable swan neck from previous vehicle. (Aware that some people appear to have problems with the removable as per other posts here - tried mine today and I get the feeling that it fits tighter in the new car).

However, got an unexpected extra, which I don't recall ordering (and don't appear to have paid for) - I have a full size spare - all 4 corners have Goodyear Wranglers fitted but the spare has a Pirelli Scorpion Zero (which were standard all round on my 2010MY).

Any clues why this should be, spare wheel fairy been at work Smile ??

Possibly due to the TPMS system that is now standard on MY14 vehicles (don't know if this applies to all models).

I thought it likely that the TPMS system was programmed in the factory for 4 or 5 wheels depending on if the vehicle had been specced with a full size spare or not. But maybe the TPMS system does need 5X full size wheels?

I'm not sure, need to take a closer look underneath as I haven't lowered the spare yet, but I'm pretty sure the spare does not have TPMS as the valve appears to be rubber not metal?

They are not the standard XS wheels, they are the £205 upgrade to the Style 704 7 split spoke ones - would that upgrade automatically include a full size spare maybe? If it did, bit odd it does not appear to have TPMS and that it has a Scorpion Zero when the other 4 are Wranglers. Confused.com lol
