Instead of trying to impress the 0.5% of owners that might use that, methinks they might be better off spending their millions of R&D money making the more routine stuff more reliable for the remaining 99.5%

I've got to admit I thought exactly the same thing !
The only off roading mine has done in the last 5 years was down a cart track just like the one pictured to get to a remote cottage in Scotland !
I certainly won't be requiring anything that looks for boulders beneath the front end but I could do with a couple of EGR's that don't fail every few years !
And an Oil pump casing that's fit for purpose as well as brake lines that aren't made of tin and a tow hook that fits properly ?Only dead fish go with the Flow !
