I changed the relay and so far, so good.
I opened it and saw that the contacts were worn; maybe that's why sometimes it worked and sometimes not, but it's strange because I had already changed it two years ago.
Let's wait and see what happens

probably a really silly question, how do you even turn on the aircon to get it working, i have an hse and have read the handbook and looked at the center dash and cannot see an air con switch, the auto switch on makes the fans go quicker, so im not sure if its even working or if there is any gas in the system. i know i have to get it checked by and aircon place but it would be nice to find out how to even try and get it to work. jeff=bones1.

I'm sure if you have an A/C business & have the knowledge of D3 / D4 you will be in demand on here...
To me the system working is bloody brilliant..cool car without being in a wind tunnel.
The rear system does make a huge difference....you dont have to freeze the fron passengers to get colder air to those two rows back.
OK mine been fixed twice (leaky pipe joints both times) I'm sure if you could work out t afix with either these re "o" ringed or a proper set of pipes fore to aft ata realistic amount you would have owners beating thier way to your door
I have to agree with the dont go to Kwik-fit statement...there may be some who are attentive & know what they are about but....is it worth it taking the risk & Censored something up to get it cheap.
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
