We have had the 05 disco 3 for a few years now and we currently have 85,000 miles on the clock. When should the belt be changed ???

Koos not according to head tech at Potchefstroom LR dealer, with my last visit in Jan I really confused the reception lady by asking her when the belts needs replacing. She finally called the head tech from the workshop who insisted the belts gets changed on mileage/km not age, what . He ensured me it's fine because the belt is constructed of a special material and he has never seen one fail. There I was trying to get my dads my2006 Uk import with 64000 miles booked in for belts change, no sir it's need doing on 105000miles. THEY MUST be the first honest stealer not wanting to take my money or are they waiting for the engine failure repair bill A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

Have done belts at 135k. They were deteriorated, but not damaged.
But still, a few hundred quid for a set of belts, or close on £10,000 for a new engine. Makes it a no-brainer in my books My D3 Build Thread
