Only thing I've heard of so far is that pdc will go beserk from water ingress meaning it will keep on beeping continuously.
The little red light on the dash button is supposed to be ON with pdc is working. You set it to off by pushing the button and the light will go out. Also the light will go out when over 16MPH.

There is something about having to select reverse first then driving which is a dealer setting.

regards,

Wiljo

Im guessing water ingress is the problem here. Will get the garage take a look. It's them who'll have to fix it before I buy it anyway.
Im wondering if they have been turned off or disconnected in some way because they were going beserk due to water. Has anyone done that? taken them off due to them beeping when they shouldnt

Yesterday mine started beeping continously too when selecting 'reverse'.
Have the garage looked at the car? Was it water ingress?

Im not sure if it was water, I didnt buy the car so I dont know what the outcome was. I have read a few posts about water getting into them and causing probs.

Park Distance Control fails

Tempremental PDC on 56 HSE when parking in a tight area. It worked on and off Evil or Very Mad over a period of 3 months so took it to stealer in Guildford who couldn't "replicate the problem". Embarassed Was never tempremental after stealer visit, though I understand nothing was actually done to it. Not sure if sensor was wet but have not had problems since. Whistle

hmm sound like you may have a short, have you got front sensors? I read some where its common for the front to have one of the wires rub through and short. I think this may show a fault accross them all as they work together. I know when I had snow on mine at front i got a long beep. The van as you know will stop your rears working when plugged in.

Slightly different issue has just appeared.......

when I select reverse, I get a higher than usual 'beep', that is constant for about 5 sec's, then stops then the amber PDC light starts to flash ?????

the front sensors are still fine and work ok... only the rear ones having a hissy fit..... anyone any idea's Bow down

Can be any number of things apparently. I have this exact issue and am waiting for a new ECU to arrive. Fronts are fine until I use the rears when the fault disables the system. The system resets itself after restarting the engine.

TFC had some fun with this in December.

Replaced a faulty sensor on the rear and that stopped the 'falshing' PDC light and the constant 'beep'. However the system is still very hit and miss on whether it notifies you if something is there or not. TFC then tried a new module, however this did not change the symptoms. We believe it to be the wire harnes in the bumper (applying the logic there is nothing else to change really). Thumbs Up

Not got round to sorting this yet, but will do soon.
 Still miss my D3 Sad

HI - Not sure where my issue sits here, drove my TDV6 05 this morning after a rest of a few days and noticed front parking sensors going off for no reason - got out cleaned them - still beeping - Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I make the call to LR dealer

There is a quite a few threads on this on the site. can be one sensor down or a broken wire. It is a common fault that the wires rub behind the bumper then short. you can put your ear to the sensors, you should hear them. if no sound on one I think thats your best bet.

There are a few tech heads on here that will know better
