Having submitted the order end of March for a Corris Commercial, I've been given the dates today.
Build date 1st Sept, Proposed Delivery date - 13th October !!
Does anyone else have a commercial on order, and is it taking yours 6 weeks to be converted into the Commercial ? Initial estimated date was mid Sept. I keep telling myself that good things are worth waiting for !

Mine was ordered mid feb and delivery not til 1st week of October, so you've done well. I'm not in any hurry though. Do you know if the 2015 commercial is also the new SE spec or does it stay as the older XS spec,

The Commercial stays as the XS, so the only decision really is whether to pay for the InControl or not. I'm not that convinced at the moment based on what's available now . . . But I guess there's going to be more development and Apps as the next year or so goes by. Any thoughts ?

Not really sure what apps would be of any use. I hear the std sat nav is poor, but doubt you could install Tom Tom. Think i will proberbly give a miss. Do you know price?
I did read the 2015 SE model is getting better head lights and additional interior lights. Are we getting these upgrades as well, or is it only 2014 XS non commercials that get the free upgrade.

In controls apps is only available with high and premium ICE. Not available on SE and a £350 option on XS Commercial, SE Tech, HSE and HSE Lux. Discovery SE Tech Santorini Black - ordered for Sep/Oct!

Thanks Stingray and Discoverynovice - you beat me to it ! whilst it's not that appealing at the moment, this is probably one of the areas of in-car technology that is likely to take a leap forward, with more development, apps, and features. On the basis that this appears to need to be factory fitted due to extra sockets and hardwiring, I think I'll be getting it with the future in mind rather than for what it offers now.
Out of interest winnie5, what is your build date for 1st week Oct delivery ? If they're all sent on in batches for 'commercialisation' I would expect them all to be similar - my build date is 1st Sept. I was initially told a 2 week build process including the Commercial finishing stages. Hopefully dates might come forward a week or two for delivery !

Ordered 9th July delivery 18th November
Can I ask what sort of dealer discount you all got ?
We got 10% which I thought was pretty good plus a little bit of fleet support from Landrover.
Used a dealer not on this site but recommended from a member on defender 2 forum Previously those that have a special place in my heart

Hugh
I don't know build date. I ordered 18 Feb and been told delivery 7 Oct, but should be earlier.
I don't think they strip out and covert seven seaters any more. I believe they take them off the line before the rear seats are fitted.
Do you think they do a batch of conversions at a time?
I'm not going to bother with the control apps thing, the radio and sat nav will be complicated enough for me to use!
pjb - 10% discount is very good, as is the delivery. Is that to your spec, or a pre ordered vehicle and is it a commercial.

PJB, You've done better than me - 8% and a 6 month order to delivery date.
My dealer told me commercials were done in batches - whilst obviously built on the same line as everything else, they are taken in lots off to finish the conversion elsewhere. LR gave them allocations for standard D4s MY15 and then a week later notified them of separate allocations and build slots for the commercials they had in the holding pool.

Hi,
I also have a commercial on order for september/october time. Found the options quite confusing and there seems to be things the car has which just need activating. i.e. timed climate. On the options list they are quite pricey but am I right in thinking there are people on this site that are capable of activating some of the options for much less than the list price? Wiggs?
Havn't finalised the options yet so any reccomendations would be useful...
