PLEASE CAN SOMEOME HELP TIMING QUESTION

how do
right cut a very long story short
TDV6 stopped on road no bang no nothing, sent to garage 3 weeks later found nothing
they said they had checked the timinig belt and found it to be three teeth out can this be possible, iv never know a belt to split, snap yes.#
SO if it had slipped three teeth what can it have done damaged wise it turns over great no bangs etc
iv found the problem why it stopped myself so that's sorted
im going to the garage to now check they have put the timing belt right or they have cocked it up and put it three teeth out.
any help advice would be great

Cheers

Not heard of that one myself as well,, It would not run if it was and also it would have damaged the engine if it was three teeth out.

It sounds to me like they did not know how to time it up the correct way and when they applied the tensioner it looks to them that the timing was out by the three teeth they are quoting.
This would be about the correct number of teeth if the cams and pulleys where not setup proper for alignment.

Flack Thumbs Up
