Plenty of room to get a D3 up that lane.. Whistle Whistle
You D4 guy's need to grow a pair and get on with it.

Will be doing it again because it's fun following the Defender's around. Mr. Green

Euan, i am with Dave. D3 / D4 more than capable of going up there without fuss, even more so than a Defender. Hats off to A.J.M for taking his up there. But it was in the dry. Those rocks will be slippy when wet, one slide could be expensive.

I did bow to your better judgement ....the potential for a wallet-emptying incident was the main issue .....I had no doubt about the cars ability....operator error is another thing altogether Wink

Unlike other's i DO have the rock and tree sliders to give some extra degree of protection should user error happen. So i can afford to be a bit more risky as i have more protection over other's.

In the dry, it was rather easy to get up them, just pick a good line, follow the spotters hands and keep a steady throttle and be easy with the brakes etc.

In the wet however, it would have been much more of a challenge.

I still believe that Euans with the active rear diff would have made it even easier, TR has been upgraded from my early 54 car to the D4 and even later D3s so they should make it easier.

Should have a nice new set of Duratrac's on mine for next time.

the snug one is going up to Parkamoor, U5051 High Nibthwaite on the council website. It is superb and very rocky just after this. The D3 gets up in a very different way to a Defender, it is very easy to get damage though and there are no turning around places.
