Insure two D4s in one name (with 1 NCD) - any ideas? |
|
I'm moving back to the UK with two D4s. I have a full No Claims Discount (12 years or so). I've called a few online companies, and they want to set up two separate policies, which means that whilst one car is very cheap to insure given that it uses my full NCD, the other car is astronomically expensive.
Two of the companies I've called said that they know of insurers who will allow me to use the NCD on more than one car, but couldn't name the insurer.
I wondered if anyone has any advice they could offer about how to try to insure both cars with the one NCD.
Thanks in advance. PAGODA

Try a good broker like Footman James - they have served me well.

I had the same problem, no insurer will allow you to share ncd, however one insurer did allow some grace and gave me 3 years complimentary on a new policy, which means after 12 months i had 4 yearscand could shop about If it ain't broke... Take it apart anyway, how else you gonna find out how it works

Gareth is correct - I wasn't very clear in my posting ask Footman James, or another good broker for a multi-car policy.
Also worth talking to Admiral - but beware of their "authorised" repairers.
