Ok, I have serviced the car , well mmmmm (my retired dad, a Mercedes/VW Mechanic of 40+ years) did it for me. Cost me a few cups of coffee, but not nearly as much as the stealers . So I have ordered the CAN-Mate SRT so I can reset it. Also I had another go with the iiD Tool and Flashed the Bluetooth ECU so hopefully I will the phonebook etc.
Q? I was going to flash the RLM Suspension ECU as I have flashed the Instrument Pack ECU on Saturday and it says in the manual that you must flash the RLM Suspension ECU if you have done this. As my car is an 2006, I thought it would have the Hitachi Compressor in it. I have the option to select either Hitachi or AMK software. I used the 3rd option to check current software (not sure what it was called specifically) and it said I had AMK software installed . So does this mean that at some point the car has had an AMK compressor fitted ?, unfortunately I do not have any additional paperwork with the car other than the standard book pack and service history (does not give any details).Land Rover Discovery 3 (2006) 2.7 TDV6 HSE Auto

quite possibly the AMK compressor fitted if its running with no faults then leave it alone
the RLM will only need flashing if you have a problem

Paul, if you have an IID tool, you don't need a canmate srt as it has a service reset function.Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks for the responses. I think I was worried when using the tool the first time on Saturday and did not go mooching around in the menus. It does not mention this in the manual (not that I can see). I just went out to the car and found the reset function. Something like, Service/Reset - Instrument Control Pack IPC?? cant quite remember then Service Interval Reminder. Well at least its done even if this has been an expensive oversight on my behalf . Strange thing happening to me since this flash.
My clock on dash decides to flat line. i.e., --:--
If I reflash it, it comes back again, but doesn't stay for more than a few days before going back to --:--. Now my battery has been dying as well if I leave it parked for more than two days lately, so i'm not sure if this is connected, but i'm going to replace the battery. I'll see if the clock stays after that.
I should mention that the clock on the radio is completely unaffected and continues to show the time regardless of what the dash is doing.2005 NAS SE Petrol V8
