Hi I'll go out and take some better photos for you this morning. The bracket just reused something I had in the bits box in the garage I think it came off an old roof rack or something on my TD5 disco. It was just bent to fit and then covered in black tape (I meant to plastidip it but never did as you can't see it)
The ham install is coming out of the D4 after this weekend, if you're interested then I can just stick the bracket in a jiffy bag and post it to you?D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

post some pics as follow-ups.
I designed and 3d printed the bracket (used ASA filament, won't melt in summer), the mount works pretty well.

Very nice, I just bent a bit of sheet aluminium to suit.
Rather than routing the cable round the air vent and down the side those side pieces pop off quite easily and you can run the wire behind them to hide it completely.

Hello Steam,
I'm doing a HAM radio install on my LR4; I really like the 3d printed bracket you created. Would you be willing to sell & ship one to me? or share your 3D printer file (I don't have a 3D printer, but I might be able to find one). Thanks!

No problem at all, but I don't know how to attach a file with my post here, would you pm your email so that I can send the stl file to you?
Please be aware the mount holes on it was designed for Icom ID-5100, if you want to mount with other rigs you may need the holes to be relocated.
