My car renewal is due midnight on Sunday .
I'm expecting a new car sometime next week
Renewal is £617
Cheapest on line £502
Problem is when I put in a quote for a new car neither of the 2 above are the any were near the cheapest !
Do I stuck with my original ., but pay it monthly .. ( hopefully one month .. Then cancel ) or what ?
Is there an easy way round it ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Check the small print but fairly sure you get a 14 day cooling off period on any policy you buy online.

You don't say how much your old car will be with the Insurer you are wanting to use for the new car, and how much is that new car premium with that company. It's never wise to buy insurance with the intention of cancelling within a few days.

I would suggest the way forward is to check out who is best for your new car on the basis of you will be paying for 50 weeks worth of that premium and only 2 weeks worth of whatever they want on the old car, plus perhaps an administration fee for the change
If buying new don't forget to check the insurer offers a replacement car in the event of a write off in first year.

Maybe worth chatting it through with site sponsors

Just a thought as they may know a work round D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Believe there is an aditional loading when car goes over 50k in value and some companies do not like to cover over that so quote silly.

I was amazed when I rang my insurance company up last week to say that I had changed my car and they gave me a £52.23 REFUND . I actually asked the guy on the phone to recheck as I was sure that couldn't be right Cheers Ian
