That doesn't sound right. I know with my Elddis which has the IDC system, if I deliberately sway it around, the caravan brakes come on but only slightly. Just enough to feel a slight drag for a few seconds.
The car never has a problem at all, its rock solid. Having said that, i am towing a single axle with a D4, you are towing a twin axle with FL2.

does the caravan have ATC - are you sure the brakes coming on were the FL2 brakes and not the ALKO brakes ?
I had the ATC come on once (I think). I thought it was a head wind and accelerated through it Duncan

it doesn't sound right at all and its quite unsettling to have it happen to such a degree
there are two trains of thought, the car trailer control over reacting to the ATC breaking on the caravan, or the ATC going though a reboot which applies the brakes when doing so and the car reacts to that, another forum member had this happen too, but he went from 70 to 20 in about 8 second on the french motorways, and this so happens to not put your break lights on either
in dealers on thursday, hopefully its just a case of CCF been correctly set up or something
my DSC light illuminated on the 2nd event, but its why that the mystery so far

Well that was a laugh. I just called in at local main dealer, and asked the service chap I usually deal with about getting a sticker. His response was a very blank glazed look! So parts operative was summonsed to the show room, who after an explanation was given, gave an equally blank look.
So they are off to speak to LR technical about this and hopefully will get me a sticker. Obviously one of those features that look good in a sales brochure, but rarely get used in the field.

Just had a go, that D4 is gutless
I unhitched when I had a green tick on Level 5 and by the time I'd parked the tick had gone so drove into the the side of the trailer to push it back and it then said everything was ok IID PRO

Re: What to do with the trailer dots?

When my dealer handed over my D4 last week, he gave me the three-dot sticker and said "thats for the tow assist". When I looked at the manual, it says to refer to the dealer for fitting!
Can someone tell me what to do with the dots? Keep it clean please
