Normal or AGM, but in truth even the other modes would have left it better than dead.

Check battery voltage and the voltage on charger.

What lights did you get on the charger?

Ok, that could be a connection problem, a battery failure, charger fault or a very large current draw whilst charging.

I've been having a current draw ever since I had a load of accessories fitted..ie TV DVD reversing camera etc.Thats the reason I bought the CTEK so I can live with the problem,I did talk to my dealers but it was going to cost a small fortune to get diagnosed ...so I left it.
I'm charging through the white socket by the towing electrics

Your current draw could be confusing the Ctek or perhaps the draw has taken its toll on the battery.

Need to know the voltage of the battery as it is and then you need to disconnect it from the vehicle and charge it properly. From there you need to understand what current is being drained when parked.

Thumbs Up

If all is well then charging on the vehicle is fine. Clearly you have issues so the drain of the car needs to be taken out of the equation. The recondition mode of the charger should not be used with the battery connected to the vehicle either.

If you still can't find the manual I have a couple of Ctek manuals in PDF format, so I might be able to upload it for you.

Why lift it out of the car?

Very rough rule of thumb would suggest 10hrs but it could be much longer.

Ah well, an opportunity to clean any crud out of the battery box and to inspect the ECU for any corrosion or water ingress.

Did you check the battery voltage before charge?
