Hi all. I own a disco 4 hse My13.5 registered Dec 2011. It's Fuji white done 37'000 miles with the following extras fitted:
Audio upgrade to 825w
20" 5 spoke gloss black alloys
Full size spare
Heated wheel
Chill box
Privacy glass
Adaptive lights
Towbar
Side steps and flaps
I have a new one on order similar spec which is due end of next month. They have offered me £33,000 trade in?! Now I was expecting a bit more and was wondering if anyone in the know can give me a second opinion. By the way it is immaculate with fairly recent Pirelli Scorpions!

+1 for above D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
B.A.S - FBHIC. Uncle Rays spare wheel protector. Beanie Silver Black badges.

Doesn't sound quite the right date for registration 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Trade in value according to www.cap.co.uk £28,000-£32,220
On that basis your getting a good deal. You get zippo for an extras unfortunately.
That said, it's the change price that matters.
The only way to enhance the money you get is to sell privately.
Likwise the above car cap is £31,700. Tend to think a little new car discount has been applied to that tade in to enhance the deal.

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I am being a bit optimistic on a nearly 3 year old car!
This next car arriving is hopefully going to last me until the D5 becomes available.

No harm in being optimistic.
Your best way of finding what a garage is actually giving you is to ask for a no trade in price, then a trade in price.
What I've found is they will charge you RRP for the new car and apparently give you a good price for your car. You think you've score.
What they have actually done is discount the new car and given you the going rate for your trade in. Quite often you only find out when your presented on the day of collection with an invoice that shows what they have really done, which bear no resemblance to the figures you were quoted, but the change price is exactly the same.
Depending on your needs, I'd wait until the new engined Disco Sport comes out, then it could be a low cost change. That's what I intend to do. The mpg, excise and servicing cost on the new D4 is a burden I'd rather be without tbh.

As above. Remember a friend who was a car salesman telling me a story about a trade in
His offer was 2k less for the trade in, but the "new" car was 2k less than another car they were looking at, and the trade in offer was 2k higher
Cost to change was exactly the same My D3 Build Thread

Thanks for the replies. I am getting a small discount off the new vehicle so that does help. Although i ordered it in June and am still waiting for a firm delivery date
