Warranty Direct...

Had a phone call about a D3 with a suspension fault a few days ago. Went to the car this morning

Reservoir slow to fill, cracked dryer lid. Common issue

Phoned WD, asked for current mileage and fault codes, authorised new compressor there and then
They then phoned the customer as soon as I hung up, to inform them of progress

One of the better/easier companies to deal with

Bow down

I have WD protection on 2 of my Disco's after my resent issues. The service received so far has been A1. Not made a claim yet, but very good customer service.

I've made a couple of claims and always received a cheque within a week, I use a main dealer and they have a direct link to WD so authorisation is done through an electronic system, always very efficient.

My renewal is coming up soon so looking for a 2yr deal, will see what they offer but want to stay on Luxury care as that covers almost everything apart from a few bits that are shown as excluded Thumbs Up

Me too, and made lots of claims. As I like to say, it's not as good as the 3 years LR warranty but to get that you need a new(ish) car. Mines running out on miles, will be down to engine & gearbox end of next summer. Big Cry Big Cry

I’ve run two discos for 4 years beyond LR's guarantee, without Warranty Direct… and no serious problems with either. So I recon that makes me about £3,200 up on the deal so far - or a nice holiday for two.

Normally, I’d be worried about tempting fate and touching wood at this point… but I’d willingly pay £3,200 not to have to deal with those wan*er5 when something really expensive goes wrong!

(sorry, I have had bad experiences with them and clearly the therapy isn't working)

Thumbs Up

Must have been some time ago then if you have had two cars since Wink , if you stick to their rules your fine, I prefer it that way to keep premiums down from dodgy claims Thumbs Up

It was my wife's car, and definitely not a dodgy claim. Remember, they have to make a profit from somewhere... it's all a gamble - do you feel lucky?

I wasn't referring to you making a dodgy claim Laughing I was talking generally Thumbs Up

I like to sleep at night, and I don't trust the D3 although I love it, I know if I ditch the warranty something awful will happen, its on this forum most weeks, so that is one gamble I won't be taking Very Happy

...Standard reply 'for balance' in case someone ends up here from Google.... Wouldn't touch WD with a bargepole and am still disputing a case with them. I would never recommend them and in my personal opinion are a bunch of cowboys.

I have a phone recording of them misleading a garage to their own advantage (relative to my claim) and also proof of them lying about claiming to have inspected parts which were actually attached to my car on the driveway at the time. The case continues.

So please be aware that as with anything in life, the bad comes with the good. I know lots of people on here have nothing but praise, so here's the balance.

+1 for WD.

I had a Crankshaft Position Sensor fail on our MY12 when the WD warranty was only a couple of weeks old. It was a body-off repair which they authorised within 20 minutes and sent me a cheque for in a couple of days. Couldn't have asked for more.

I have had a warranty with WD for 4 years. Generally they are about £100/year to the good, but that's fine by me. No issues whatsoever with claims, which go through like clockwork

Would they cover an 05 with 144000 miles on or do you think I am wasting my time ?

Doubt it very much unless you've been with them for a long time. Thumbs Up

If they did it would be engine & gearbox only, like mine at 06 & 140k.
