Broken down in blackpool...
Oh no family trip to see the lights, on m6 tried to accelerate and a big clunck from the gearbox... Then as off motorway sounds like the clutch is slipping; lots of revs very little movement. Orange warning light (gearbox fault) Parked up now waiting for LR assistance.. Family gone ahead in a taxi.. Not good for a ruffty tuffty Land Rover discovery 4 (63 plate) at least the sun is shinning...

Thanks, waiting patiently for the recovery truck. Haven't tried restarting, but to be honest want it looked over properly, as don't want the worry of it failing again, especially with the children on board. Good to know that there are members out there who are happy to help.

Hi gone off to hunters Preston on the back of an aa pickup. LR sorted a hire vehicle via enterprise, so all ok, waiting to hear what the problem is. Disappointed for a 63 plate car.. But these thing happen..

Garages called and said that they are going through through the diagnostics on the gearbox, but don't know what is wrong. At least jlr recovery sorted out a Land Rover replacement via enterprise (shame it is a Range Rover sport)

Just over 30k, 'born' September 2013..as I say disappointed in the car, but I guess these things happen..
