Well I think the cat is now out of the bag! Interesting recruitment ad in the Sat Advertiser (Adelaide) for service technicians for the new Land Rover franchise beginning July - Solitaire. Apparently they have a big new service facility being developed at Mile End. WOnder how many of the Blackforest and Prestige people will move across?
Cheers.

The more things change, the more they stay the same! In 1994 I ordered my Defender from Solitaire, who were the alternative dealership to Prestige. During the 5 month wait for delivery, Solitaire gave up/lost the franchaise and the Fender was eventually delivered by Prestige. The experience was so dismal that I took a lot of convincing to buy the D3 from Black Forest, who of course are the sister company of Prestige.
But I have to say that the Black Forest service has been good, although outrageously expensive! Lets hope Solitaire will be a bit more realistic in this regard. Ex Defender 110 200Tdi owner.

Any of you who had servicing done at Prestige or Black Forest will probably receive the same letter I just have about their situation with PAG(Ford). I also have an email from a work colleague who had an Audi A4 and said he would NEVER buy another one as long as Solitaire were the agents as the service was I always had service that met and exceeded expectations from Prestige and the Forest so I think I will write to Furd and ask them what they are doing! 2013 D4, E-diff, Vision pack

according to the letter, they will only lose the right to sell new cars and do warranty work(which they can arrange) lets see how there legal action goes first. servicing will remain the same and parts (according to them) will now be cheaper. my only concern is the warranty side of things.
