No food, drinks, sweets etc are to be consumed by anyone bar me and maybe swmbo if on a long road trip, if however swmbo uses the car and kids go in it this rule seems to be forgotten and rubbish soon piles up, this in turn results in swmbo getting strict orders to clean it out and at the same time she can do the outside.
Fast forward a few months she gave the kids drinks that quickly exploded all over the seats and door card, now after a very short one way conversation there is no longer drinks or food allowed So far Fiona has:
TRC front winch bumper / GG AT tyres
Warrior 9500s winch / Aux Fuel tank
Mantec sump guard / Kaymar rear bumper w/swing away
RI D2 light pair / de-cat exhaust
RI 10in flood/spot bar / LR puddle lights
Optima yellow top / Prospeed tree/rock sliders
Spilt charge system / Light guards

I stopped being precious about this stuff a long time a go and it makes for a much more relaxed life. If everyone is paranoid about spilling stuff then in my experience they are more likely to spill.
Our D3 is a tool that gets used, we have seat covers and full rubber mats so no issues. 2 kids and often extras, 2 dogs and muddy country lanes/fields would give you a nervous breakdown. The reality is it only gets hoovered a couple of times a year and it's fine.IID PRO

As long as I get one half day a week to clean it out then they can make as much mess as they like.
The Mrs and Kids therefore keep themselves in check as they know it means they can give me much more boring household chores to do than clean the car out. Ever since this rule was implemented the inside has been kept spotless by all.
If I'm on a long roadtrip on my own I hang a carrier bag off the arm wrest of the passenger seat to bung rubbish in and then bin it when I get out.

Shame on you, that must look absolutely terrible, what must people think?
Front passenger floor is out of sight and can be cleared once it gets to seat height! Sorted! Stew,

Sainsbury's bag for life positioned on the floor directly behind the cubby box, fold the edge over so it remains open, they're also relatively waterproof and double as a sick bag in an emergency GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

My car is used for what it was designed to do. I've never been precious about it. Life is too short.
Best solution is a carrier bag in the passenger footwell hanging off the gear stick.

Confession time:
I needed to get a bag while in Tesco last week as my missus had blagged the 3 free ones Tesco issued to me just prior to this 5p/bag malarky!
So I filled a basket with my £3 deal and took a nice hessian bag from the pile at a checkout and headed for the auto thingys to check out.
Now the first thing it (the screen) asks – Do you have your own bag?
Answer – Yes
Place your bag on output tray
I did
Scanned my stuff, put in Card and paid.
Got to my car and realised I hadn’t paid for the new hessian bag. I was all ready to go back and confess but it stared to rain…..
So I’m now a confessed shop lifter – (shop not shirt)
Unfortunately when I got home and told the boss she promptly confiscated my new bag for herself Stew,

She's now handling stollen goods.
Re the Wee Eck Bag Tax, it pewees me off that you have to pay it when getting the Micky Dees breakie. And no, it's not a charge, as far as I'm concerned it's a tax and the "it's to discourage littering" also gets my goat up, I don't piggin well litter.
