It's liquids (ie milk) that I hate carrying- if missus uses it to go shopping I tell her all milk / orange juice etc go in a plastic box that I bought for her car. All the other crap can be picked / hoovered up.

I just use one of the small plastic bags still given freely at markets here in the US. The market background checks you guys in Europe go through are funny. (No anti-environmentally friendly sentiment implied) I throw them over the passenger arm rest so it hangs in the backseat area.
I hang a larger trash bag anchored somewhere under the load space cover. I don't use the 3rd row much. I'm too OCD to handle trash everywhere. I got my rubber OEM mats muddy yesterday and I'm still freaking out over it. Time to switch to Weathertechs.

I used a Waitrose carrier bag until I was told it was ostentatious.

With 4 kids .... after every trip .... I spend 10 mins 'tidying up' ....
Chips, crisps get in all places .... spilt coke is my personal favourite D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.

Aaaaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh....reading those stories has me in palpitations...can't stand messiness in cars....
My Mrs is positively the worst though...as they go out early for the horses they think it is perfectly alright to eat breakfast on the way...and I mean not finish the odd crumb off but sit down for a full two course gastronomic feast...my cars will have normal china cups full of tea rattling around the centre console, and china dinner plates full of buttered toast normally perched on the dashboard....
When they've finished the whole lot including crusts gets thrown on the passenger footwell to be ingrained into whatever carpet they can find...
Nice.....
Spookily they are not ever let in my D4... Drives me mental!
