Monty Python Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Just to re-iterate what I have said via PM to this as I have seen this thread AFTER replying to the PM.
1. It was not clear whatsoever that the post made was intended to be humorous - it did not read as such and was not received by others as such. The thread was therefore treated as offensive and removed.
2. It's not always possible to send everyone a PM for everything edited or removed from the forum. Especially at the moment there is a lack of time, this is a busy season for everyone "off site", and the mods do their best but may be only quickly dealing with reports in between other commitments. In this case it was also assumed that there could be no reason for querying why it was removed, given the post content.
We weren't party to the context until I was sent the PM which is the original post in this thread.
I'm a bit disappointed that this has been brought up in public before I've had a chance to reply, this being a weekend in the run up to Christmas. I am trying to balance my time and enjoy it with my young family, but there currently seems a constant barrage of demands for me to instantly justify our actions here.
I totally understand that no-one likes being moderated; equally no-one likes being offended, insulted or wound up. So perhaps try to think of what we as the moderator team are trying to judge, we will not get it right every time (particularly if we don't know the full story) - that's human nature and we're stuck with that. As I keep saying, if you see something you don't like with anyone here, be it a member, sponsor, moderator or yours truly, report it or PM me to flag it up. Keeping quiet doesn't sort it out.

I find this forum a great source of information and a very well managed one
Keeping a forum like this running is a lot of work and it is really annoying to see additional "worload" thrown at the moderating team with sterile discussions on who has decided to leave the forum and why (and constant mention to this in various thread) or also long discussions on things like this that should be handled via pm with a little bit of patience.
Of the few enjoying "the fight" and the opportunity to make negative remarks on the approach of the moderating team in discussions like these there are thousands who are happy and stay away from those discussions and prefer to continue enjoying the forum as it is
Just hope that in the new year and after a good break with food and alcool the people will come back with a more "forum oriented" spirit
PS: as a founder and moderator of other forums I was much less patient than the moderating team here (some thread and constant comments such as the ones related to people voluntary leaving the forum not to comply with some obvious rules are really annoying and just to create annoyance). I think the moderating team is already providing a lot of explanation on what they have done and why It takes all sorts (to make a world).
