Looking for some new rubber soon , currently have pirelli scorpion zero's but not sure which out of the 3 listed below would be a better road tyre , ie quieter and lasts longer .
Pirelli scorpion zero's
Continental conti-cross contact
Goodyear Wrangler HP
Tyre size is 255/60R18 112v
Any advice or feedback appreciated
Thanks

Out of personal experience of them all, I'd go for the Wranglers.
Wear rate is better over the Scorpions.
Ride quality is better over the Cross Contacts.
That's just my opinion from having run all 3!
But hey, what do I know ! ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

Never really noticed much difference with noise.
But maybe that's because I run with cross bars.
As said, never really had issues with Wranglers.
On Cooper LTZ's now and by far the best all round tyre.
But they're only available in 18" & 20"

What about Vredestein Wintrac 4 Xtreme - they seem to be well thought of by those that are predominantly on-road users?
I'm thinking about these next time around, although I like the the look of the General Grabber. Not sure which is more costly for all four corners, as all are pretty much in need of replacement. PAGODA

IMPO Goodyear Wrangler HP are the worst tires ever introduced for disco3/LR3.They are well known for premature ,excessive and uneven wear.Simply crappy, overpriced and unreliable tire by badyears. In fact , there is a class action lawsuit conducted , against LR, in the USA.Stay away from them as far as you can.Noisy as hell too.Simply garbage.Pirellis are to soft, IMO and Cross contact not to good either, but best of them three.

The Grabber UHP for me was best of bunch [apart from LTZ's] but I ran them on 20's.
If they do them in your size, well thats def the ones to go for ... IMO.

Bloomin eck, never experienced anything like that, perhaps you get the rejects over there!
Goodyear even developed the 19" Wrangler MTR specifically for the D/LR3.
Would be pleased to read some of the many write-ups you refer to.

RONP...I don't have to mention all three leading American LR forums, in which, you could get more info regarding experience with this particular tire. You could also go on TIRERACK.com and check for yourself.Cheers

Sorry Thorgal, but I'm in the UK where the D/LR3's are built and therefore haven't had any need to check out the US [or any other countries] forums.
As you made the point I thought you'd provide the information as to how your opinions were based.
Surely I shouldn't have to go looking for information when it's a point that you raise ???
I only talk from my own personal experience of each brand mentioned in the original post, you understand.
Are your opinions of personal experience ..... or media led ? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
