Just a quick note to all about my warranty experience.
I have an UNLIMITED mileage warranty and I am currently on 150,000miles.
I have had a problem with the TC and the warranty company agreed after some haggling to get it replaced.
Whilst in for replacement it was noted that the gearbox was worn and almost failed (clutch solenoids?). When the TC was replaced and 'running true' there was a whine in the box (not there before). After alot of hassle and mentioning the 'Ombudsman' they greed to pay for a new rebuild....
So the moral is to keep calm and keep talking to the warranty company. I expressed the wording in the warranty many times and eventually they agreed (even though they tried to say it was wear & Tear). I just said what was the point of an "UNLIMITED" mileage warranty if it did not cover broken items..... I saved around £3800 +VAT.
Anyway a good outcome and I still have a superb car!!!!!!
