Have your say in LRO Buying Guide |
|
Hi all,
I'm writing a Buying Guide for LRO and am after some comments on why you bought a Discovery 4. What appealed to you most? What do you like best about the model? What do you use your Discovery 4 for, and how does it perform in this task?
We can't use every comment, but those selected will also be required to send photos of yourself and your vehicle for use in the magazine.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Peter,
I suspect that it will be almost the same as the one we did for Discovery 3 in LRO.

DG: I don't own one, but I do drive one occasionally, if that counts?! It actually belongs to my Dad. I'm making the most of the Defender's lack of luxury while I'm still flexible!
Are there any particular areas that buyers should pay close attention to on a used Discovery 4?

It all counts but it would certainly help to have a good feel for it when compiling your guide
Having had D3's and a D4 the difference is quite marked IMO engine \ gearbox fit & finish is improved....lot's of the common issues you might have seen with the D3 have been ironed out ..you only have to scan through the D4 sections on here to see that there are fewer issues ...I'm in my 2nd year and it hasn't missed a beat..which is refreshing after the D3's.
Not to say that there are no issues of course...there have been a few issues reported if you look in this section for example http://www.disco4.com/forum/faults-fixes-d4-vf48.html Usual advice to prospective purchasers ..do your homework ...make sure you have a warranty
Look forward to seeing the guide 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
