Mikey..

My navigator doesn´t give a arrival time,
just how many minutes until I arrive..

So I still need a clock..

Or have I missed something in the settings
of the navigation?

I don't have satnav so have to dust off the brain cells to get arrival time. Or use the TomTom app on the iDog&bone. Thumbs Up

If you go into the config you can change what it displays - either time of arrival or the run time left. Thumbs Up

seems it could be more hassle than its really worth, after all its only a clock!!

The COD was the first upgrade I did when my IID arrived. I've found that all the stupid pointless bongs have vanished when my new clock appeared. I still get the key in ignition bong but nothing else. The update was worth doing simply for that. Wink

So, just to confirm before I do this too...

The clock on dashboard can be activated but if using an older version of the software leaves you with a 'lights on' warning displayed in the FBH 'on' warning lamp.

If the updated software is used to enable the clock, a low coolant warning will appear even if the coolant level is correct. To overcome this problem, a new coolant bottle is needed.

Only if the coolant bottle has a faulty float as I understand. Mine didn't have the problem when it was done ages ago.

I would rather know I had low water than not..............

Oh and any version of firmware to add COD can give the low water warning.

If you have the IID, the lights on warning can be disabled with the correct firmware

Almost any IPC Reflash can bring up the low coolant warning, but only if you have a faulty float

Got it.

So the low coolant warning comes on if the float is faulty rather than there necessarily being low coolant. The updated software is a little more sensitive then perhaps?

Low coolant on a British car? I hear echos of HGF on K-Series engines...

The old warnings were written out of the firmware, as the floats going porous, and sinking was a hugely common issue. Instead of replacing them all, they disabled the warnings Rolling Eyes

The updated software reinstated the warning, along with a modified bottle/float being fitted when new Thumbs Up

I got no low coolant warnings when I did my COD update. From Mikey's description, it sounds like LR couldn't be bothered to fix the float issue so modified the software to disable the coolant warning instead.
