I've been looking at buying one of these through a business and have seen something on the website about vat numbers and rate. Now I'm not familiar with buying over seas goods, but is it vat free business to buisness?

I believe VAT is zero rated if selling business to business outside the UK but within Europe.
My company regularly sells to southern Ireland businesses and we exclude VAT from invoices.

I went round Fraser Island in a hired land cruiser and camped on the beach by that wrecked ship. Great fun.

Delving into what else the EVO can do. Because it is not VIN locked, you can plug it into any of the same model and see what fault codes etc and verify the condition of the vehicle. Very useful if you are contemplating purchasing a different model of the same marque. Could indicate if its a lemon or not. I guess there's no reason why a friend or colleague couldn't borrow it to do the same.
