My new Disco 4, without the 4
So, what are we supposed call a Disco 4 now they've gone and dropped the "4". A Disco 5? <blank>? Pause? Awkward silence?
Well, notwithstanding that, we got one anyway. Not that we meant to....we had a perfectly good Disco 3, '08 with 63k. Mrs Jupiter8 wanted a new toilet for the ensuite, so off we went to B&Q which is opposite Land Rover in Guildford. Before browsing the sanitaryware, we popped in to see if they had a new Disco Sport to look at. No they didn't, but they did have a lovely new HSE in Corris Grey in the showroom. That's nice, said Mrs Jupiter8. Indeed it was, so haggling proceeded and what turned out to be the biggest ever impulse buy in the Jupiter8 household ensued. Five grand off in all. Deal. Picked it up on Wednesday after a tearful farewell to the Venerable Three.
Wow. Looks deceive - it might look not dissimilar to the old 3 but what a different car eh?! Awesome, as my teenagers like to say. Solid, luxurious, tighter handling, quiet, fast, rattle-free. Utterly brilliant Swiss army knife of a wagon.
Issues, we've got a few...
Tailgate takes too much brutality to close (needs adjusting).
Front suspension raising very slow (30-60secs), probably needs looking at.
Fuel burning heater spends far too long on, even with temp 6+ outside, probably needs a tweak.
Other than that, it seems just fine. Ear to ear grins all round.
We didn't get the toilet, in case you were wondering.

Yep, 'tis a lovely shade of grey. I do think Discos look good in grey. And black. Green's nice too. And blue. And that goldish brown...
No, toilet project now on the back burner, so to speak But here's one I found earlier...

It is normal for it to be running at these temps.
