Stopping engine, keeping ignition on with keyless start?
Is it possible to stop the engine whilst keeping the engine on with the stop start button? I quite often pull up at a site and want to stop the engine but keep the t'wireless on while I do paperwork which was fine when I had a proper key but now it appears to be impossible to stop it without turning off the radio!26 and on the 4th LR..

When you put the car in park it will normally turn the full car of itself, if you wish to continue using the radio press the engine stop start button without pressing the brake this will turn on the ignition without turning on the engine allowing you to use the vehicle systems. I hope this is what you ment and it helped I hate it when people see me at the supermarket and they're like 'Hey, what are you doing here?' I tell them 'You know.. hunting elephants.' -

Mark is quite right, you have to remember that unlike the D3 key system there is no three positions on the ignition, 1st pos off/on 2nd full ign 3rd start, on the D4 its just two positions comparing it to the D3, press on and hold to start, or ign on without start. 2015 D4 HSE LUX Kaikoura Stone(sold)

Even if you had the option you really do not want to use the ignition switch to keep the radio on anyway as you would be killing your battery by powering a whole host of systems.
Best to turn off the ignition (not that you have much choice) and if you want to power the radio turn it on via the radio power button alone. Even here the power draw is significant and the D4 will only give you a set amount of minutes before protecting itself.
