Towbar electrics from a D3 |
|
Simple question, can the towbar electrics be taken off my D3 and put on a prospective D4? (seeing as the dealer won't chuck one in for free) Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12

Simple answer, no
Different fitting needed I'm afraid
Also, make sure you order the correct one for the D4, there are different ones depending on model year.

Thanks Woody - what about the detachable towbar?.
And the next question is where's best to get the electrics sorted - rather than pay main stealer? Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12

its easy enough to fit it yourself TBH, but from a dealer, but then you'll also need someone like CDS/Wiggs/Flack/Me to enable it. CDS and wiggs are closest to you. Bodsys Brake Bible

Detachable tow bar fits fine, I kept mine of my previous D3 as it has the MaxxRaxx bike clamp fitted to it so now have 2 of them as the D4 came with a new tow bar.
One of the site sponsors should be able to fit the electrics for you, and enable them.

I did the electrics on my d3 and it is easy.
Should I get onto tlo's replacement at Yeovil LR and get the electrics from them? Discovery 4 HSE Luxury Santorini MY12
