Rear camera reversing guidelines

This may be a really daft question, apologies if it is. I have recently purchased a 63 plate Discovery 4 HSE. It has the reversing camera and yellow reversing guidelines appear on the screen when reverse is selected. I have seen on other makes of cars and in the latest '14 Discovery handbook that these guidelines bend when the steering wheel is turned. This does not happen in my car, they remain straight. Are they supposed to or is it only on versions with the surround camera system that do this. Any advice would be welcome.

It's not a standard feature.

14MY onwards have bendy reversing lines (and a better camera). Blinking good they are too.

Thanks all for the replies. Seems I will put up with the straight lines!

I've tried using the camera and cannot get along with it so reverted to using door mirrors which are much easier.

And also noted that there is a wide angle view available too, which can be quite useful. Never knew about that. Is a standard feature of the reversing camera?

Yesterday I watched an electrician empty a few boxes of components, light fittings etc out of the back of his van to find something, he then started working on a flush to ground floodlight beside the van.... I'm sure you are ahead of me here so I'll cut to the chase... he needed to reverse the van back a few feet to service the next light and ran over his boxes of components. It's instances like this, bollards, small walls etc when a camera is great. I for one will be fitting one to my XS despite having huge mirrors perfect for reversing with Thumbs Up
For that electrician it would have paid for itself in 5 seconds!
