DVLA V5C Showing TDV6 instead of SDV6
I just got my registration document which shows my D4 as a TDV6 instead of an SDV6. It's definitely an SDV6 but the DVLA said that the model designation details come from the manufacturer so I can't just ask for them to be changed. Any other D4 owners in the UK had a similar experience ? I'm a bit concerned because my insurance is also issued on the TDV6 designation whereas it clearly says SDV6 on the back of the car
Should I be concerned or just leave it be ?2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

I would get it checked out properly. THere have been a couple of threads on here where they have been badged incorrectly from what was expected and turned out to be correctly badged, but built wrong. SDV6 has a different manifold I believe, not sure if you would be able to identify which engine it was/is without having it plugged in.

I would definitely get this checked out. You can tell if it's the 245bhp version from the vin number, drop Pete Bell a pm with your vin and he'll be able to give you an answer. It wouldn't sit well with me having TDV6 on the log book as it may cause problems when you come to sell it.Club Exped trailer

You have to register first then write down the VIN number and you get all the information on your Discovery. If in the Vehicle features it is listed as ENGINE TORQUE-600 NEWTON METRE then it is SDV engine
Also if there any bulletins concerning your Discovery, these will come up. So far I already had two one concerning the driver’s seat and another about air suspension pipe routing.

Useful info - thanks. It's the right build. Apparently it's down to the details LR put on the V55. Dealer is on the cae as they have a few like this.2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

Hate to be a cynic but don't just leave it in the hands of your dealer, it's in their interest to say you have the right car, whether that is the truth or not.
PS didnt someone else (ENT??) have a similar issue and the car was lower spec, car quite rightly got rejected and replaced.
